The Revival Hub is a community project in Birkenhead that works with young people and adults with mental health issues.

Utilising a community cafe it offers work placements, volunteering and a safe space for people to meet  and challenge isolation that many are suffering.

The Revival Hub wanted to give young people the opportunity of developing new skills, make new friends and have work experience to include on their CV.  Working with Rachel, its Director, Ed helped to develop a program where young people were learning skills in catering, management, finance and customer service.

Ed worked with The Revival Hub to raise the £9650 necessary to make the project a reality. Over the space of nine months, eighteen young people participated, learning new skills in the busy community cafe.  Rachel said ‘it’s been a fantastic experience not just for the young people but for me too. Many of those involved didn’t have the confidence to even talk to customers. Within weeks, they were transformed. It’s been incredible.’
